Supervised Music Practice
We have created an environment for young musicians to rehearse daily, outside the home, in a structured learning environment that supports the goals set by their music teacher. Students can master music assignments more rapidly while reducing the strain on parents who struggle with enforcing practice at home.
Our innovative teaching approach features daily supervised practice sessions, in conjunction with weekly private lessons. The supervised sessions provide a daily routine of practice in a classroom setting under the supervision of a teacher ensuring more rapid progress through sequential units of study. The majority of the children's rehearsal time takes place under the supervision of a trained professional.
Daily practice incorporates the student’s music lesson, repertoire, sight-reading, scales, chords and arpeggios, technical exercises, memorization; and the use of flash cards.
What can I expect? - Our students participate in a yearly adjudication where regionally acclaimed music experts judge their abilities. Our annual recital is held at the end of each school year featuring our students’ finest musical accomplishments.
We are currently accepting applications for the 2006-2007 year and are encouraging registration for new students from Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. Click here.
