The Orchard Park Anniversary Project

Istvan Hernek, Executive Director of the Paraclete Conservatory, has been commissioned to begin the composition of four piano sonatas to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the incorporation of Orchard Park, New York in 1934.

The sonatas will incorporate themes drawn from aspiring young musicians from the community and will culminate in the composition of an Orchard Park Anniversary Piano Concerto for 2009.

We are grateful to the foundations who have supported us on this project with generous grants. We are eagerly anticipating the interviews and auditions of our area’s most gifted and creative young musicians.

Supervised Music Practice

Young musicians rehearse daily, outside the home, in an environment that supports the goals set by their music teacher. The students master music assignments more rapidly, while reducing the parents’ need to enforce practice at home.

Academic Enrichment

Our tutorial and academic enrichment programs are designed to supplement student learning in areas where they are having difficulties, or to bring about more success in areas where students already excel.
